1) E-learning
SonoCPD is excellent free e-learning for US guided PIVC. After completion, attend a USPIVC workshop.
ACEM e-learning modules are mandatory for trainees. They are available free to all health care professionals by making an account. Complete them prior to attending workshops and starting your logbook.

2) Skills acquisition
Ask about our US Guided PIVC courses.
We aspire to run other courses locally in future. Until then, there are a number of trusted providers, some of which are listed here. Ask if you're not sure what to book!

3) Logbook
Save the link to your homescreen to easily log scans.
Logbook requirements are aligned with ACEM recommendations and vary by scan type.
Faculty will add you to the department leaderboard and send you an automatic personal logbook, to keep track of your progress.
Feedback will be provided. Your scans are compared to the minimum imaging sets provided by EMUGs, see below.
4) Summative assessment
Arrange with a member of faculty.
5) Achieve competency
You will receive a certificate from faculty for each module.
Save your logbook and assessment forms for your records.
To maintain your skills, complete further scans in line with ACEM recommendations.
